Zurich City Hospital Unites Specialists in New Spine Center for Complex Disorders

Zurich City Hospital has launched a new Spine Center to improve treatment for complex spinal disorders. The facility brings together specialists from multiple medical fields under one roof. The Spine Center combines expertise from neurosurgery, rheumatology, neurology, radiology, orthopaedics, and pain management. A key part of the new centre is the Spine Board, a panel of specialists from different disciplines. This board reviews complex cases, examines diagnostic results, and decides on the best treatment plan for each patient. PD Dr. Daniel Coluccia, chief physician of neurosurgery and spinal surgery, leads the Spine Center. The initiative reflects the hospital's broader push towards integrated, patient-focused medicine.
