Tottenham Entrepreneur Lands £100K Deal for Sea Moss Brand on Dragon's Den

Rome Haghighat, a Tottenham entrepreneur, secured four investment offers on Dragon's Den for his wellness brand. The 2024-founded company, selling sea moss supplements, caught the attention of all male Dragons, including guest judge Tinie Tempah. Haghighat had originally asked for £100,000 in exchange for 10% equity.

Haghighat launched his brand in 2024, offering gels, capsules, and soaps for beauty, detox, and fitness. The products, made from sea moss and other natural ingredients, generated £55,000 in revenue during the first year, with an £8,000 profit.

On the show, Steven Bartlett and Touker Suleyman praised both his personal story and the business's growth potential. Bartlett recommended sharpening the branding around sea moss, while Suleyman favoured expanding the product line. Haghighat eventually accepted combined offers from Bartlett, Suleyman, and Tempah, giving up 30% equity. He also negotiated a clause to reduce this to 21% if the full investment is repaid within 24 months.

Since its founding, the company has capitalised on rising demand for seaweed-based wellness in the UK. By early 2026, the broader market had grown by 25%, while Haghighat's business reported a 300% sales increase. Earlier, a separate seaweed wellness startup, Dragon Moss, had secured £250,000 from Deborah Meaden and expanded into premium skincare with products like Dragon Dew serum.

Haghighat leaves Dragon's Den with £100,000 in funding and a revised equity deal. His brand now joins a fast-growing UK market for seaweed-based health products. The investment is expected to accelerate expansion and product development over the next two years.
