Transbaikal's new supplement plant to boost local economy with 20 jobs by 2026

A new dietary supplement production facility is set to open in the Transbaikal Region. Backed by regional funding, the plant will create 20 jobs and begin operations by 2026. Officials have described the project as a major development for the area's economy.

The facility will operate within the Transbaikal Advanced Development Territory (ADT). Its products—including collagen with vitamins and L-carnitine—will be supplied to federal retail chains and pharmacies across Russia. While no specific chains have been named yet, distribution is expected to start in 2026.

Funding for the project came from the regional Industrial Development Fund under its 'Food Industry' programme. The fund offers nine preferential loan schemes to support local manufacturers. Zargalma Badmazhapova, the region's Minister of Economic Development, highlighted the initiative as a key step forward for Transbaikal's industrial growth.

The new plant will bring 20 positions to the region and expand the local food production sector. Once fully operational, it will supply supplements to national retailers and pharmacies. The project marks another investment in Transbaikal's economic development through targeted industrial support.
